Actually the answer to that one is so simple that people won't believe
it:
use plain straightforward HTML
design for usability - read the books
don't use frames, Javascript, Java or Flash
keep your clever tricks for the server, where you can program in
object-oriented Perl with SQL databases and templates
keep the display dead simple and low tech, then _everyone_ can view it
